Our client, a leader in building maintenance and engineering, is seeking a Building Engineer to join their team. As a Building Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering & Maintenance department supporting various operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Building Engineer or Technician
Location: Glendale, CA
Pay Range: $25 - $30 per hour
What's the Job?
- Utilize advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings and industrial systems.
- Monitor building system operations and performance, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure optimal operation.
- Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors and ensure quality standards are met.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and perform assigned repairs and preventive maintenance.

What's Needed?
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of four years of related experience.
- Universal CFC certification required; EPA license preferred.
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to use work order systems.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
