Our client, a leader in sustainable energy solutions, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be part of the Energy Engineering R&D team supporting various energy-focused programs. The ideal candidate will have a positive energy and attitude, a passion for prototyping and fabrication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

Job Title: Engineering Technician

Location: Lathrop, CA

Pay Range: $45 per hour

What's the Job?

• Weld or join metal components (Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel) using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
• Cut, bend, and form metal components using fabrication equipment such as bandsaws, lathes, and drill presses.
• Utilize manual and CNC hydraulic vertical press brakes and associated dies/punches.
• Review technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine requirements for metal fabrication projects.
• Provide feedback to engineers and management on design and process improvement.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma with 3 years of work experience in fabrication.
• Experience in welding (TIG and MIG), manual machining (Mill and Lathe), and knowledge of shop tools/machines.
• Knowledge in sheet metal design and fabrication.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering documents, CAD, and drawings.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and inspection methods.
