About the Role
We are searching for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to perform the duties described below at our plant in Spartanburg SC USA.
Your Responsibilities
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities of Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving employees.
- Develop weekly manning plan per production schedule including scheduling overtime and vacations.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Recommend measures to improve material handling methods, equipment performance, and quality of service.
- Ensure employees are trained and following the processes.
- Confer with other supervisors and managers to coordinate activities of the department.
- Coordinates efforts of shipping, receiving/warehouse/container process to ensure inventory accuracy, and ensure that the needs of vendors, customers and internal departments are met.
- Ensure OSHA, ISO and Magna requirements are met and maintained.
- Participate in physical inventories and cycle count efforts.
Who we are looking for
- Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to operate forklift as well as train and certify others.
- Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Your preferred qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in warehouse supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
