Key Responsibilities

• Calculation of tax liabilities, preparation, and filing of tax official formats.
• Tax research, analysis, and interpretation for purposes of compliance, tax planning, and optimization (e.g., the impact of changes to laws and regulations on tax liabilities, tax structuring for merger and acquisition activity, etc.).
• Specific transaction tax recording and record maintenance (e.g., deferred taxes, tax journals, capital expenditure details required for tax calculations, tax depreciation schedules, etc.).
• Consultation with external consultants and agencies on tax matters (e.g., external auditors, lawyers, regulatory agencies, etc.).
2.- Preparation and/or review of annual returns (including all the related calculations, such as inflation adjustments, tax depreciation, tax accounting reconciliation, etc.).
3.- Determination of deferred tax reporting and provisions.
4.- To assist in providing guidance to the Divisions of the Group with regard to calculations, official notices, and requests that need to be responded to and filed with the tax authorities (including official audits, invitation letters, refund requests, etc.), among others.
5.- To assist with the analysis of the tax implications of domestic and international operations made by the Magna Mexican companies.
6.- To prepare and/or review monthly federal tax returns.
7.- To keep updated with the frequent reforms to the various Federal tax regulations.
8.- To prepare or review the balances of various tax accounts (e.g. CUCA, CUFIN, CUFIN-RE, the tax value of the shares, etc..).
Key Qualifications/Requirements
EDUCATION
Required: professional accounting degree (CPA) or completion of master's degree of Taxation and the completion of the CICA in-depth tax course is desirable.

EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE
Fluent in English.
Required: Certified Public Accountant with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in taxes in a Big-4, multinational company or well-known local accounting firm (at a coordinator or supervisor level).
Desired: General knowledge of other tax and legal regulations.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES
Tax mid-year and year-end Performance Report and discussion.
Feedback from assigned divisions.
