About the Role

The Raw Material Coordinator is accountable for the timely availability of supplied-material, service items/parts and maintenance items required by the production and supply schedules; and in conformance to specified quantities, engineering levels, design standards, functionality, geometry, performance, and features.

The individual is responsible for scheduling and expediting supplied material delivery for all inbound materials required in production, service items and maintenance. The Raw Materials Coordinator is responsible to ensure that the Customer, People, and Investor goals are balanced and met.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor MRP (Forecasts, Stock on hand, customer demand, production schedule, inventory transactions and reject material);
  • Plan, Forecast, Schedule and Release supplied material demands to meet our production and service parts requirements.
  • Input manual requirements into SAP to ensure material availability.
  • Follow-up and validate carrier appointments (specified carrier arrival times to avoid excess traffic density);
  • Coordinate all shipments and ensure on time delivery of parts and materials.
  • Special project and campaign assignments, tasks and duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Who we are looking for

EDUCATION:

  • Associate's degree or certified 2-year training program for the material scheduling profession.

TECHNICAL TRAINING:

  • Two years of experience as a material planner using an MRP system to plan (preferably SAP) is acceptable in lieu of formal education.
  • Program management experience preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Mid-Level SAP MM module experience
  • Press & Blanking operations knowledge.
  • Supply chain receiving experience.
  • Proven Leadership experience, team leader or higher

Your preferred qualifications

  • SAP- MD04/MB51/LT10/LT21/SQ01 proficient.
  • Knowledge of Raw material Alloys and standards
  • Ability to write correspondence and speak effectively before members of the management team, customers, and employees.
  • Able to present information and respond to questions from vendors and production personnel.
  • The main language proficiency shall be in the English language, with an ability to communicate in a second language (preferably Spanish or German) being an advantage.

Pay range: $50,000 - $70,000
