About the Role

In your role as a Power Module Design Engineer, you collaborate with a dedicated team to create innovative power modules for traction drives. Your main objective is to design power modules for inverters used in traction drives, focusing on voltages up to 1000V and currents up to 800A. The design decisions are shaped by factors such as semiconductor properties, parasitic electrical elements, thermal connection, and considerations for product lifespan. By ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and customer requirements, your role plays a critical part in our success.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create concepts and design specifications for new power modules
  • Support the designs during the initial prototype phase of power modules
  • Plan and set up test benches for design verification (developer tests)
  • Perform developer tests, including analysing and documenting the results

Who we are looking for

We are seeking someone who is passionate about power modules / power electronics and is ready to bring their enthusiasm and motivation to become a valuable part of our team. A person who enjoys collaborating interdisciplinary and across sites (with colleagues from power electronics, PCB development, module housing development, etc.) would be a perfect fit.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Degree from a technical university (Master / PhD) in the field of semiconductors / electronics or electrical engineering / technical physics
  • At least 5 years experience, preferably in the field of semiconductor
  • Basic automotive experience highly appreciated
  • Willingness to travel within Austria & Germany
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • German language skills highly appreciated

It is important to us to offer a fair and attractive remuneration package. The gross monthly salary for 38.5 hours according to the collective agreement for the automotive industry is at least € 4,400 (14 x p.a .) for this position. The actual salary will then be determined depending on your actual number of hours.
