About the Role

As a Plant Equipment Engineer, you will be part of a project team, consisting of several very experienced engineers from the Magna Group. Based on your experience and know-how, you will plan activities regarding manufacturing equipment incl. writing specification for new equipment. The Plant Engineer is responsible for manufacturing equipment, maintenance, processes, tooling and documentation.

Your Responsibilities

  • Planning of the equipment necessary for the production process
  • Preparation of calculations for current projects
  • Participating in engineering, production & quality workshops
  • Coordination of current & new projects
  • Reach out to suppliers for quotes & consolidation
  • Planning support for serial production
  • Responsible for maintaining manufacturing tooling
  • Write and update detailed work instructions
  • Writing specifications for new manufacturing equipment
  • Design fixturing and tooling as needed
  • Maintain traceability of tooling
  • Maintenance of tooling, equipment
  • Calibration of tools
  • Support production team to meet production goals
  • Use lean manufacturing techniques to improve processes
  • Work with cross functional team to meet Plant goals
  • Ensure all processes meet safety, quality and cost goals
  • MES/ERP usage to support production

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • At least 1-5 years of relevant professional experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in technology & automation solutions
  • Advanced user of CAD programs (f.e. Catia V5)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop
  • Working experience within intercultural teams
  • Fluent in English

  • First-hand experience with equipment design in a manufacturing environment
