About the Role

  • Provides technical support of all production and tooling activities in relation to injection molding.

Your Responsibilities

  • Directs, develops, and implements tool design and development. Provides molding feasibility reviews.
  • Performs the selection, design, modification, and installation of production/molding equipment. Performs troubleshooting. Supports daily production and launch activities.
  • Directs, develops, and implements tool design and improvement.
  • Recommends appropriate types of tooling to be developed for a given product, provides direction on technical details related to tool development, and assists in the procurement of tools. Provides molding feasibility reviews.

Who we are looking for

  • Provides molding feasibility reviews. Reviews new or modified production designs prior to completion. Ensures product designs are produced easily and efficiently. Performs the selection, design, modification, and installation of production/molding equipment. Purchases and installs auxiliary equipment (i.e.,dryers/conveyors), molding machines.
  • Upgrades existing equipment. Purchase's materials to be used molded parts.
  • Performs troubleshooting for molding, processing, and machine problems.
  • May require non-standard work hours and on-call responsibilities.
  • Supports daily production and launch activities.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferable
  • 3+ years of experience in Plastic Injection Molding Environment.
  • Works on C.I.T. activities and sets up production activities. Develops or oversees the development of molding machine processes required to produce new or improved products. Assists R&D with new molding processes.
  • Can perform initial molding process setups. Supervises other staff. Provides work direction to mold repair personnel and activities. Aids manufacturing continuous improvement processes.
  • Can perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. Work requires independently evaluating, selecting, and applying established, well defined manufacturing engineering techniques and procedures. Work requires originality and ingenuity with instruction received on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.
