Job Introduction

The Manager, Learning & Development, Mexico will provide oversight, direction and support for learning and development priorities for the region. This role works across Divisions and Groups to align strategies, programs and policies to Magna's business and strategic priorities and provide insight and recommendations to support continuous improvement that will ensure lasting business impact.

Your Responsibilities

Learning & Development Programs

Act as the Learning & Development corporate point of contact representing Magna in Mexico

Lead the implementation of the global L&D strategy, programs, and initiatives in Mexico, including promotion and communication, planning, logistics, updated materials, and monitoring for quality and success

MTC Management & Administration

Attend and actively contribute to global MTC meetings for best practices sharing, alignment (processes, programs, external partnerships), collaboration, and soliciting feedback

Source and manage relationships with regional training suppliers to meet business priorities while seeking opportunities for regional/global alignment, removing duplication, and reducing cost inefficiencies

Learning Management System

Act as Subject Matter Expert, Local Learning Administrator, and first point of contact for support for LMS users in Mexico

Who we are looking for

Knowledge and Education

  • Knowledge of the local training market
  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resources or related experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years in a learning and development role
  • Experience working in complex de-centralized or matrix, multinational organizations an asset
  • Experience working with learning management systems, content authoring tools, and MS Office suite

  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish - written and verbal
