About the Role

The Customer Liaison position includes being a connection between AIM Systems and the customer's production facility and resolving or preventing issues before, or as they arise. This job is key for the success of AIM's business, so the following objectives should be accomplished to the highest feasible standards to avoid official claims from the customer through preventive actions as well as corrective ones.

Schedule: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Entry Level Position $18.50/hr.

Your Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain customer satisfaction and the promotion of AIM's reputation.
  • Provide customer support for quality and logistics issues.
  • Build rapport and a solid professional relationship with customer at plant level.
  • Be identified as AIM's known representative, qualified to deal with issues affecting customer production.
  • Immediately contain and respond to problems at OEM's facility to find the proper solution and avoid official scorecard incidents.
  • Inform AIM Systems to enable appropriate corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  • Gain and maintain familiarity with product technical and quality details through regular meetings and visits to AIM especially for any changes.
  • Report proactive activity on a regular basis (defined by the supervisor) to the AIM team for awareness and continuous improvement including but not limited to product audits and material delivery audits.
  • Summarize and update quality status information in order to share with AIM Systems Quality Team each shift.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and reduce waste.
  • Effectively maintains Containment Processes (work instructions, charting, reporting, etc.).
  • May also be required to conduct quality functions at AIM Systems or at multiple customer locations when needed.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Who we are looking for

  • Must have 3 years of experience in Automotive Quality or similar manufacturing setting
  • Must have previous customer interfacing experience or ability to demonstrate skill with customers
  • Must have knowledge of; or willingness to learn AIM Systems Operating Systems and products
  • Must be familiar with OEM Customer Specific Requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
  • Must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving (3L5Y, 8D) and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to handle pressure and ambiguous situations
  • Ability to deescalate and manage conflict under stress
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Must have experience with measuring devices (calipers, feeler gauges, etc.).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with basic hand tools
  • Strong in process and process controls
  • Process and Product audits experience
  • Shipping and Receiving knowledge.

  • Sequencing of automotive parts
  • Tier 1 experience
