Your Responsibilities

  • Printing, match to purchase order and enter vendor invoices into SAP
  • Process Vendor checks, ACH, EFT, & Wire Payments
  • Prepare month end accounts payable accruals
  • Produce, match and mail checks, including the preparation of manual checks when required.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail on a daily basis
  • Enter vendor & customer change requests into MDG for approval
  • Perform and confiriming penny test for vendors set up on electronic payments
  • Review monthly vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been received and entered into SAP
  • Manage shared Accounts Payable inbox and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Prepare vendor payments, matching vendor invoices to payment remittance and mailing out
  • Preparing month end account reconciliations related to payable accounts
  • File vendor payments and boxing prior years financial records
  • Match & code and enter purchases on corporate card
  • Follows Magna's Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policies
  • Perform other duties as required

Health and Safety Responsibilites

  • Ensure all safety and non-safety rules and regulations are followed
  • Ensure adherence to established quality and housekeeping standards
  • Review and adhere to Novi COE's health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, operating procedures, and policies
  • Immediately report accidents, hazards, defects, or non-compliance issues to management
  • Works and acts in a manner that will not hurt him/herself or any other worker
  • Understand and uphold the policies that prohibit workplace violence and harassment
  • Participate in all mandatory training
  • In addition to the above, the duties those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act

Your preferred qualifications

  • Minimum completion of post- secondary business/accounting education
  • Minimum of three years accounting experience or equivalent; previous Accounts Payable experience required
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi- task and prioritize in a fast-paced enviroment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage and prioritize time
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrates diplomacy and tactfulness
  • Maintains confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to work under pressue
