About the Role:
Madison logic is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to oversee our Quality Assurance team. You will be required to oversee all aspects of software and product testing within the company. This may include developing test strategies, drawing up test documents, identifying faults, and reviewing QA reports.

To ensure success, as a Senior QA Engineer, you should have extensive experience in analytics, high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to project manage. A top-notch Senior QA Engineer ensures the smooth running of the QA department and ultimately customer satisfaction.

A Quality Assurance Engineer at Madison Logic will operate independently, focusing on helping to ensure product and engineering quality and testing efforts to create a best in breed tech environment. You will work with Product and Engineering departments to understand and translate complex, technical information into appropriate testing documentation and processes using industry standard best practices. You will be responsible for participating and growing as part of a team that is building and maintaining a best in breed customer stack, from ticketing systems to knowledge bases. Your contributions will ensure that our Quality Assurance processes and procedures are cutting-edge, scalable and complete.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating actively in Agile development lifecycle.
  • Working with Product and Engineering departments to understand and translate complex, technical information into appropriate testing documentation and processes using industry standard best practices.
  • Implementing test cases in TestRail and verify fixes through regression testing individually.
  • Working with development and support leads to identify all testing needs, manual and automated, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for product and project scopes.
  • Working directly with the QA lead and development team to form a solid understanding of technical side for each project.
  • Overseeing the drafting of testing documents in TestRail.
  • Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.
  • Ensuring the successful deployment of products into the market into executable test cases/strategies.
  • Responding to requests from the management, Development and Product team.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work UK Shift Timing (11:00am – 8:00pm Local Time) Required
  • Fluent in English language (verbal and written) and possessing a clear and concise communication style
  • 4+ years of experience in QA Engineering or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Any automation technology e.g. Cypress or Java-Selenium.
  • Hands on experience on JavaScript or any other coding language.
  • Basic knowledge of node.js
  • Knowledge of BDD Frameworks -cucumber, jasmine, Mocha etc.
  • Knowledge of version control system Git or Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tool, Jenkins/TeamCity is preferable.
  • Knowledge of API/DB testing.
  • Scripting or other automation tool experience, such as Java Script, Cypress, Browser Stack, Selenium, Test Rail.

  • Self-Sufficient and proactive nature, able & comfortable "figuring things out", resorting to escalation only when after exhausting all other options
  • Strong sense of urgency required
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a knack for explaining complex concepts in a clear & concise manner across all levels and functions
  • Team player and proven relationship-builder.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high level of professionalism and integrity
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience handling multiple responsibilities, tasks, and projects in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • A positive attitude that approaches tasks/projects from a hands-on, roll up your sleeves frame of mind.
  • Ability to quickly learn an array of computer software and systems.
  • Team members are encouraged to work collaboratively with an emphasis on results, not on hierarchy or titles.
