About the Role:
Madison Logic is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer who will be integral in our future SDLC, cloud compute infrastructure, and technical strategy. This role requires in depth experience in cloud architecture and DevOps concepts and tools.

You will be responsible for owning the entire infrastructure and deployment stack as well as owning optimization and automation of our product deployment cycle to improve speed, quality (consistency), and security.

You will implement best practices and automation in operations and DevOps and provide framework for automated testing and quality control. You will work with multiple sprint teams and be a key component in the success of our product road map.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement best practices for automation and testing, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with sprint teams to design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure and environments
  • Utilize Cloud Formation IaC to create dynamic application stacks
  • Manage Docker environments and technology, including executing commands
  • Ensure compliance with AWS regulatory requirements and implement security measures
  • Maintain and improve automation pipelines for efficient workflows
  • Utilize Python tools for system optimization and scripting
  • Follow Git workflow for version control and collaboration
  • Develop and execute backup and restore procedures
  • Provide incident escalation support for service issues
  • Manage costs effectively by implementing AWS cost management strategies
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of AWS policies and Linux/Unix administration
  • Apply DevOps concepts to enhance software development and deployment processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of DevOps Engineer experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge and experience in implementing best practices, automation, and QA frameworks
  • Proficiency in AWS infrastructure design, build, and maintenance
  • Experience with CloudFormation IaC and dynamic application stack creation
  • Familiarity with Docker environments and related technologies
  • Proficient in Python scripting and tools for system optimization
  • Working knowledge of Git workflow for version control
  • Familiarity with backup and restore procedures
  • Experience with incident escalation and resolution processes
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration
  • Knowledge of DevOps concepts and their application in software development and deployment

Work Environment:
We offer a mix of in-office and hybrid working. Hybrid remote work arrangements are not available for all positions. Where applicable, hybrid WFH days work must be conducted from your home office located in a jurisdiction in which Madison Logic has the legal right to operate. WFH requires availability and responsiveness on a full-time basis from a distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. Please inquire for more details.
