About the Role: Sales Manager – Infrastructure

 

As the Sales Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the productivity and success of our Infrastructure Sales organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Infrastructure, you’ll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales team. Your key responsibilities will involve collaborating with the VP on planning, reporting, quota setting, and management. You’ll also optimize sales processes, manage sales training and program implementation, and design and administer sales compensation plans. Additionally, you’ll oversee recruiting and selecting sales force talent to build and grow a high-performing team.

 

In this role, you’ll lead the team to exceed both customer and sales objectives while championing the overall sales strategy. You will contribute to and implement initiatives designed to accelerate growth and enhance the customer experience. The current team consists of seven salespeople and is growing, giving you the chance to shape and guide a team of exceptional sales talent.

 

This leadership role requires you to drive continuous improvement across all key sales functions. You will be expected to work closely with the team, reinforcing a goal-oriented, collaborative environment that ensures success in a fast-paced and competitive market. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, implements, and manages sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency. Integrates these efforts with other firm-wide planning processes.
  • Provides leadership to the sales organization, implementing objectives that align with the firm’s business goals.
  • Equitably assigns sales quotas and ensures financial objectives are effectively allocated across sales channels and resources.
  • Accountable for the timely assignment of sales objectives.
  • Identifies opportunities for sales process improvement and facilitates the implementation of new programs by establishing efficient processes. Fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drives adoption of and recommends enhancements to the corporate CRM (Salesforce).
  • Optimizes the deployment of sales personnel, making recommendations for role changes or team configurations to maximize productivity. Leads change management to build organizational support for new models.
  • Works with leadership to define performance measurements and management programs that ensure sales success. Aligns reporting, training, and incentive programs with these priorities.
  • Ensures the sales team receives accurate reporting and internal intelligence, developing new tools as needed. Coordinates reporting initiatives with leadership.
  • Establishes a sales training plan focused on developing and reinforcing key competencies, in collaboration with Human Resources and leadership.
  • Designs sales incentive compensation programs that are market-competitive and aligned with business objectives. Works with Finance and HR on administration policies and procedures.
  • Directs and supports consistent implementation of company initiatives.
  • Conducts weekly one-on-one reviews with the team to monitor pipeline development, opportunity closures, and proactive customer planning.
  • Develops strong working relationships with team members and fosters a collaborative team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in a Business-to-Business environment
  • Minimum two years of sales management experience
  • Experience in the sales of Consulting/Professional Services highly desirable
  • Executive presence and demeanor with consultative/executive relationship building selling skills a must.
  • Software or consulting services sales experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk or similar products, highly desirable.
  • Experience successfully managing rigorous corporate initiatives.
  • Clear and strong track record of success leading a sales team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong business acumen.
  • Self-discipline and motivation to produce individual and team results
  • Adept at Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, result-focused, environment.
  • Requires up to 25% travel

 

Highly Desired Not required

  • AECO industry experience is a plus
  • Civil-Infrastructure is a plus
  • Understanding the government and private sector is a plus
  • Knowledge of Autodesk and/or other BIM/CAD, GIS, and FM software is a plus

 

The salary range is between $90k to $110k.  OTE (On-Target Earnings) is $160k plus.

 

This position is fully remote, allowing for work from anywhere in the continental United States, following standard work hours in the Eastern or Central time zones.
