Job Summary: Sr Data Analyst, BI & Analytics - Pro & Services
Our team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to turn data into insights, driving strategic decision-making across our service and retail operations. The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for independently leveraging advanced analytical techniques and tools to evaluate the performance of Lowe's Services business. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and storytelling skills to influence decision-making and optimize customer experiences. You will partner with cross-functional teams to uncover insights, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations that drive Lowe's Services adoption, profitability, and operational efficiency.

You will collaborate closely with operations and business stakeholders to understand complex business needs and translate them into analytical solutions that drive data-driven decision-making. This role will also partner with technology teams to support the development of new systems and features, ensuring accurate data capture and optimal structuring for seamless querying and reporting. Additionally, the analyst will work alongside product teams to integrate high-priority recurring reports into scalable solutions with documentation ensuring a smooth integration into product.
This individual independently leads analytic and automation projects while partnering primarily with manager and senior associate level staff to provide expertise in problem analysis, solution implementation, and ongoing optimization opportunities in the assigned business area.
To be successful, the individual in this role must have a deep understanding of analytical techniques and disparate data sources - both internal and external, and strong domain expertise.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data or Information Sciences, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field) AND 3 years of related experience
OR - Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Data or Information Sciences, or related field AND 1 year of related experience
ALSO - 2 years of experience using analytic tools (e.g., Python, SQL, SAS, R, Adobe, Alteryx, Knime, Aster, Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, Enterprise Guide)
- 1 year of experience working with Enterprise level databases (e.g., Hadoop, Teradata, Aster, GCP, Azure, Oracle, DB2)
- 2 years of experience using enterprise-grade data visualization tools (e.g., MicroStrategy VI, Power BI, Tableau)
- 1 year of Functional experience performing predictive analytics at a large scale enterprise
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Develop visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights to support business goals.
- Design and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI, Looker, or Pivot Charts.
- Present data insights in a clear and compelling manner for non-technical audiences at various levels of the organization
- Conduct data cleaning, validation, and transformation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity implementing data governance best practices.
- Contribute to team development by mentoring other analysts; introducing innovative tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve the productivity of the team
- Automate repetitive processes and reporting using programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously by collaborating with stakeholders to define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation (Window Functions, Common Table Expressions, Join type comprehension, etc.)
- Strong expertise in data visualization tools like Power BI or Looker and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS for data analysis and modeling.
- Knowledge of big data tools and cloud platforms (e.g Hadoop, Azure, Google Cloud) is advantageous.
- Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions that impact business outcomes.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and a strong focus on detail.
- Mentorship and coaching in both professional and technical skillsets

Pay Range: $76,300.00 - $145,000.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
