Compute Platform provides runtime environment and toolsets required to build, deploy and manage the application life-cycle. Applications are not just limited to micro services but also database engines, messaging engines and jobs. It is an all batteries included platform that runs in the Cloud, OnPrem, Stores and Supply Chain Locations.

This position is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting-edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience.

What You'll Do

  • Build frontend and backend end services using technologies and languages including but not limited to: JAVA, Golang, React, ArgoCd and ArgoWorkFlow.
  • Deploy the applications to Lowe's hosted data centers or the cloud using technologies and languages including but not limited to: Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform
  • Performance tuning and optimizing applications, for faster response times. Support the applications using data using technologies and languages including but not limited to: Grafana, Kibana
  • Develop and manage observability platforms using ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana, and OpenSearch to monitor system health and performance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain logging, metrics, and tracing solutions for distributed systems.
  • Integrate observability solutions with various infrastructure and application components, ensuring seamless data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to enhance system reliability and troubleshooting capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in software development or a related field
  • 2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development
  • 2 years experience working with any of the following: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)

Preferred Skills/Education

  • 2 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment and developing and implementing business systems within an organization

Pay Range: $75,300.00 - $143,100.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
