Your Impact
The Services License Analyst is principally responsible for researching and providing necessary support to ensure code compliance and adherence to state/local regulations. This individual will conduct the administrative actions necessary to obtain and maintain licenses, bonds, tax liabilities,escrow accounts and financial statements associated with the Lowe's PRO services business. This includes responsibility for leveraging all data sources and compiling meaningful analysis of services records and repositories to determine actions needed. Knowledge of the construction industry, code requirements, and ability to build and maintain relationships will be essential for success. This role is critical to Lowe's as it supports the Services organization by keeping all current and future programs in compliance and good standing to legally sell installations.

What You Will Do

  • Compile comprehensive information related to applicable license requirements to assure the company practices are accurate and accessible as a resource to be used across the organization including systems integration into license platform.

    • This includes coordination with Lowe's internal stakeholders, such as senior/executive leadership, to obtain sensitive personal information required for licensure disclosures (i.e. credit reports, background disclosures and other personal information)
  • Collaborate across organizations to provide additional insights regarding regulatory advice, documentation and responses to various government organizations.
  • Serves as a brand ambassador to promote company initiatives related to licensing requirements; this can include conducting research for licensing requirements and providing a business summary of findings to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Organize and process all licenses, bonds, escrow accounts, exam preparation, ongoing education, and tax liabilities to ensure compliance and Lowe's good standing. This includes working with Lowe's Risk Management to ensure insurance documentation is provided to contractor boards to validate licenses remain in good standing.
  • Have construction industry knowledge and ability to communicate with local contracting industry officials for building rapport, confidence, and accuracy for licensure requirements.
  • Subject Matter Expert on building code regulation for in all areas where Lowe's performs services.
  • Analyze data to identify issues, root causes, and trends in licensure or adherence.
  • Take actions that drive accuracy, efficiency, mitigate risk, and support Lowe's programs with timeliness and urgency.
  • Collaborate and communicate cross functionally with internal and external groups, including but not limited to: Store/Field/SSC Associates and Leaders, Building Officials, Customer, Legal, Code Enforcement, Contractor/Licensing Entities, Independent PROvider network.
  • Perform continuous review of building/trade code requirements to ensure legal compliance and inform appropriate stakeholders of any changes. Take necessary steps to update processes to remain in compliance.
  • Provide data to legal resulting from requests including but not limited to state/federal government agencies, media requests, ethics point inquiries and other investigations.
  • Conduct ad-hoc reviews against Compliance regulatory items for permitting, licensing, background checks, EPA, OSHA and any other required items and incorporates into datasets for known trends and issues.
  • Manages shared email mailbox to provide internal/external support for compliance needs.
  • Maintains and manages data for Lowe's portfolio of licenses in an organized manner, this includes performing reviews to ensure licenses remain updated, accurate and in good standing. Updates appropriate internal stakeholders of any changes to licenses to enable updates to Lowe's documents (i.e. customer facing installation agreements, Services collateral/marketing, Lowes.com listings)
  • Coordinate regulatory complaint (i.e. Contractor board complaints, Attorney General notices) notification to appropriate stakeholders. This includes ensuring all documentation for the complaints are collected and updated in appropriate system of record.
  • Arrange and schedule fingerprinting services for Lowe's associates, as needed, for license compliance; includes members of Lowe's senior/executive leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School or GED High School or GED and 1-2 Years Home Improvement or Construction Industry

Preferred Skills/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or related field and 1-2 Years Lowe's Compliance
  • Salesperson/GC/Trade / Some type of Installed Sales license
