The primary responsibility of the Merchandise Sr. Analyst is to analyze sales data, inventory levels, and market trends to optimize product assortments and enhance profitability for Lowe's Pro Supply a subsidiary of Lowe's). This role This role involves collaboration with cross functional teams including merchandising, purchasing, marketing, and other corporate functions to support effective strategies that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and customer preferences to inform merchandise planning decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team including purchasing -and marketing to develop effective merchandise strategies.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on merchandise performance, including sales forecasts and inventory management.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of merchandise assortments, making recommendations for improvements and adjustments.
- Conduct competitive analysis to stay informed about market trends, pricing strategies, and product innovations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in merchandising and retail analytics.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in merchandising analysis, retail planning, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Experience with inventory management systems and merchandise planning software.
- Knowledge of retail math and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to merchandising.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
