The primary purpose of this role is to capture, update, format, and upload to the knowledge base process documentation including workflow diagrams, standard operation procedures, help guides, articles, work instructions and other content documents using direction from the respective COE's and subject matter experts. The Knowledge Base Sr. Specialist administers and uploads HR policy updates based on overall direction from the Associate Relations team. This role is also responsible for the regular review of the knowledge base to ensure information is updated and the structure of the knowledge base reflects the needs of the business. The Knowledge Base Sr. Specialist administers, maintains and updates knowledge articles (FAQs, presentations, practice guidance, and other HR documents) based on content direction from the respective functional team. This role works closely with leadership and functional teams to build relationships and continuously gain a deeper understanding of the division's process documentation to meet business needs.

What You Will Do
- Provides support to ensure compliance is being met across the various locations and jurisdictions (federal, state, local).
- Develops and supports Company's policies, processes, procedures, systems, reports, controls, etc. to meet federal, state, and local requirements.
- Leads one or multiple HR compliance programs from end to end, in partnership with the role's people leader(s) E,g, unemployment, drug testing, I-9, employment verification.
- Acts as project lead for one or more large-scale, cross-functional national project rollouts in HR from initiation to close; and manages scope, develops timelines and identifies/mitigates risks in partnership with HR Compliance Leadership.
- Performs in-depth evaluation and monitoring of current HR policies and procedures and identifies opportunities to simplify and streamline content for clear and consistent application supporting the needs of the business and the associate.
- Modifies or creates HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and/or support process changes by conducting research on best practices and partnering with proper stakeholders.
- Supports alignment with external regulations and internal company compliance requirements.
- In conjunction with the Associate Relations and Labor COEs, continuously reviews the changing compliance landscape, and supports the adjustment or implementation of internal controls as required.
- Supports the implementation of regulatory or process changes, in partnership with other business units, to improve compliance to organizational standards.
- Develops and supports routine audits to monitor compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and federal, state, and local employment laws to minimize risk.
- Champions business objectives by performing risk assessments of potential compliance gaps and takes lead in developing priorities and roadmaps for future initiatives.
- Responds to complex/ escalated associate questions regarding compliance requirements and partners with Manager or Director d for any SOP deviation.
- Develops and consults on the creation of compliance resources including job aids, communications
- Regularly develops and delivers training materials related to program or project initiatives
- May serve as SME on non- HR Compliance related projects and/or initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business or related fields. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, equivalent work experience in related field is required
- 4 years advanced knowledge of workplace compliant investigations, union avoidance, employee advocacy and employment law compliance
- 4 years demonstration of competent understanding of HR processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance requirements
- 3 years HR experience in an organization with multiple sites in multiple states
- 2 years demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills; excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to establish trust and credibility; able to work effectively at all levels in the organization
Preferred Skills/Education
- Masters Degree MBA or Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business or equivalent
- 2 years experience leading HR compliance programs (e.g. drug testing, I-9, unemployment, etc)
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
- PHR or SPHR certification
