Job Overview:
Lord Abbett is seeking a talented and experienced finance professional to join our team as a Treasury Analyst. Treasury is responsible for maintaining the firm’s financial stability through oversight of its balance sheet, liquidity, and capital resources consistent with enterprise objectives and initiatives. Reporting to the Treasurer, the Treasury Analyst will play a key role in this evolving team in its journey towards becoming a world-class function and strategic partner for the firm. The Analyst will support the Treasurer and the broader Treasury team in all aspects of our mandate, including but not limited to liquidity, capital, seed investments, fund financing, hedging, forecasting, reconciliations, payments, billing and receivables. This role will work with key stakeholders across the firm including the CFO, the broader Finance team, Client Services, Product Strategy, Investments, Legal, Risk and technology partners.
We’ll trust you to:
- Perform daily and monthly cash management activities, such as forecasting, cash positioning, cash reconciliation, external and intercompany payment flows, reporting and booking of accruals.
- Support our institutional & SMA businesses by managing client billing operations, including fee calculations, client invoicing, process ownership, and client & front-office communications.
- Collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders to develop a data strategy for client revenue and deliver value-added analytics & management reporting dashboards.
- Facilitate the firm’s seed capital strategy through daily portfolio & hedge monitoring, trade execution, reporting and analytical capabilities.
- Administer and enhance forecasting models to enable senior management to make key decisions of the firm’s balance sheet including capital structure optimization, liquidity risks and cost of capital.
- Proactively seek opportunities to modernize processes, create efficiencies through automation and adopt new technologies.
- Create presentations & reporting dashboards for senior stakeholders such as the Managing Partner, CFO & other key leaders.
- Establish, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to company principles and best-in-class standards.
- Interface with external and internal auditors as required.
You'll need to have:
- 3-5 years of experience in the asset management or financial services industry
- Requires a solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting, particularly as it relates to the balance sheet and cash flow statements
- Self-motivated individual with proven ability to work efficiently, effectively, and proactively both as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor as well as the ability to translate these complex analytical concepts into straightforward messages to enable strategic decision-making.
- Intellectual curiosity and desire for continual personal and professional growth, with high standards of quality.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software quickly along with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical skills include: demonstrated proficiency and expertise with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point); experience using treasury management systems and data visualization (e.g. PowerBI) tools; familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, SAS is desirable but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar areas of study.

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $90,000-$110,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
Discretionary Bonus: Role may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are determined by several factors including, but not limited to, firm, team, and individual performance.
