Position: Temporary Assistant Treasurer

Department: Box Office

Role Overview: Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a Temporary Assistant Treasurer to support the New York Film Festival from early September through October 13th (40 hrs/wk). Reporting to the Head Treasurer, the Treasurer is a paramount member of Lincoln Center's dedicated team responsible for all Box Office operations. In addition to facilitating sales and financial settlements, this role serves as a welcoming point of contact for Lincoln Center, providing exceptional customer service.

The position is a union-represented role, and employees are required to join the Local 751 union within 30 days of employment.

What You'll Get to Do Here:

Ticketing

  • Utilize Tessitura ticketing system to issue tickets to the public and internal departments, generate reports, maintain ticket inventory and all holds, and complete final box office settlement report as assigned
  • Distribute will call tickets, re-issue tickets as needed, and complete ticket sales during pre-event time
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures while completing sales and reconciling daily transactions, including credit cards and bank deposits
  • Adhere, communicate and reinforce Lincoln Center (LC) policies and procedures, as well as policies and procedures specific to the presenting constituent
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Guest Services

  • Interact with guests as a main point of contact for Lincoln Center
  • Assist guests with ticket purchase decisions, answer general ticketing and Lincoln Center campus questions, and address concerns, requests, and complaints
  • Exemplify outstanding characteristics for guest services in all interactions with patrons, guests, and fellow co-workers
  • Provide accurate information about an event or venue upon request, including directions, program or constituent organizations

You'll be a fit if you bring:

  • Minimum two years of box office experience
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Experience with ticketing software
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment, and adaptability to a changing environment
  • Flexible availability is a must, including being able to work during matinee, evening, and weekend performances
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

  • Experience with Tessitura ticketing system
  • Multilingual
