Program Overview: The Lincoln Center Summer Internship is a paid, 10-week, in-person arts administration internship for NYC undergraduate students passionate about the performing arts. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders in the field by providing on-the-job experience and professional development opportunities. Interns will gain experience in employee relations, labor law compliance, and HR policy development within a dynamic and fast-paced cultural institution. Interns will support the People Team in handling confidential information and reviewing internal disciplinary documents by navigating the landscape of working on a small team. What you'll get to do:
- Support with departmental hospitality objectives
- Develop communication language for organizational announcements
- Maintain records of time sensitive data, develop processes, and strategies for department project completion
- Assist in monitoring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws through an understanding of Contractual Language, Wage Forecasting, Labor Law (Federal, State, and City)
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including disciplinary actions, investigations, and performance management documentation
- Promote a positive work environment by ensuring alignment with legal requirements and organizational objectives.
- Manage special projects as needed including developing a citywide network of labor professionals in the arts
You'll be a great fit if...
- You are a rising college junior, or senior, or equivalent
- You have database management experience
- You are based in New York City or the Greater New York region
- You are available 25 hours/week from June 2025 - August 2025
- You identify as both a self-starter and a dynamic team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- You exemplify leadership, teamwork, organization, innovation, resilience, inclusivity, and enthusiasm
