This role is based in London with a hybrid model of remote and in person/office meetings (2-3 days per week).

POSITION SUMMARY

As we grow Life360 Internationally, we are looking to add an experienced PR & Comms Manager to support our expansion in the UK, Australia, Canada and Europe. Life360 has experienced proven success globally, built a strong international user base, and has a compelling value proposition around family safety and connection. We are now building out our international team to support our rapid growth.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate PR & Comms Manager who will lead the strategy and execution of PR & Comms campaigns to build awareness, protect reputation, and acquire Life360 members in our priority International Markets. You will own PR & Comms for Life360 in the UK, Australia, Canada, The Netherlands & Nordics to drive maximum reach and achieve our goal of becoming a number one brand for everyday family life. As we look to build out the world's first family safety membership, this role will play a critical role in telling our story to consumers and the business media and expanding our brand perception beyond our location sharing services. This will be a high impact role and includes deeply understanding our members, our business, defining the strategy, planning and delivering campaigns. 

This role is based in London with a hybrid model of remote and in person/office meetings and reports to the Senior Director of Marketing with a dotted line to the VP of Communications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead strategic planning and execution of all International PR initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with the US Communications team to ensure strategies and messaging are aligned across all regions and markets
  • Create and manage annual PR plans, including budgets, timelines, product launches and execution
  • Manage key PR agency partners in each market
  • Oversee pitching, media monitoring, and media results
  • Social influencer outreach, negotiation and execution of campaigns
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media and influential professionals to maximize media placements about the brand
  • Proactively find opportunities to tell our brand story, including data storytelling to create a steady drumbeat of media mentions that positions Life360 as a leader in making everyday family life better
  • Ensure proper brand and corporate positioning and messaging across PR placements
  • You will handle all media inquiries, including those that come from outside sources and PR agencies
  • Manage all interviews –including briefs, media events and press releases
  • Track, analyse and report on media placements and PR campaign results against KPIs and share campaigns results that have clear insights and takeaways with actionable recommendations to improve performance
  • You will partner with the Communications team to align and handle region specific crisis communications, including media inquiries, messaging, proactive planning, etc.
  • Adjust strategies and tactics based on trends and feedback
  • Partner with stakeholders in Marketing (Growth/Performance & CRM), Product, Creative, Testing, Legal, Finance and more to support our international marketing roadmap

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS 

We are looking for candidates with a diverse background that will compliment the skills and backgrounds of the current team.   • At least 5 years of Public Relations experience with a strong communications background
  • Established relationships with national and local media outlets across trade and consumer press in the UK
  • Strong media relations track record of landing stories in print/ digital, TV, and radio
  • Superior writing and communication skills
  • A hustle “can-do” attitude with a growth mindset –hunger and curiosity to dig in and find solutions to drive the business
  • Experience localising an existing product to different international markets and launching PR campaigns, showing a great understanding of and passion for local nuances, and the ability to translate these into clear communications
  • Effective time management, creative, analytical, and organisational skills
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic 
  • Creative and able to think differently about how we market and where we market
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
