Job introduction:

Liberty Mutual Technology's Global Digital Services organization is searching for a highly skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead our Core Platform Modernization (CPM) Program . CPM is a strategic enterprise program focused on advancing the sustainability of the critical application and data platforms .

The TPM will focus on current and future key initiatives including:
  • Track B: Mitigating risks related to escalating software costs, including migrating from ACF2 to RACF.
  • Track C: Building the Astadia factory to transpile mainframe code, ensuring syntactic correctness, validating functional parity, and deploying to production.
  • BPM Replatforming : Transitioning legacy BPM/WID/BAW systems to Spring Boot, enhancing security, support, and integration capabilities.
  • Alignment with leadership of Track A , which focuses on developing the Frontier platform , to manage dependencies and ensure cohesive progress.
About the job:

This role will ensure strategic alignment with business objectives , facilitate informed investment decisions, and drive positive organizational change through effective stakeholder alignment, adoption, and governance.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for enterprise modernization, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving successful implementation and governance across business units and departments.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and facilitate cross-functional team discussions, fostering collaboration , accountability throughout the modernization process .
  • Vendor Management: Manage technology vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions within established timelines and budgets.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to address resistance, facilitate cultural shifts, and ensure smooth adoption and ongoing governance of modernized systems.
  • Risk Management: Identify and develop mitigat ion strategies for potential risks associated with the modernization efforts, ensuring the timely delivery of high-value business outcomes across the enterprise.
  • Communication : Ex ceptional communication skills, including active listening skills , allow you to convey technical information effectively to diverse groups of stakeholders across a variety of different formats and serve as the primary point of contact for creating and delivering program communications.
  • Continuous improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and implement best practices within the program's lifecycles .
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline.
  • Minimum 10+ years of Program / Project Management or implementation consulting experience including delivering software solutions in an agile environment.
  • E xceptional leadership abilities and highly developed interpersonal skills drive and achieve major transformational outcomes through influence , while lacking direct reporting authority .
  • Critical thinking skills to enable contribution s to solving complex business problems .
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and leverage data to drive decision-making.
  • Deep ability to drive decision-making processes within the organization , using Strategic Thinking skills .
  • Excellent skills in collaboration and coordination across diverse teams and functions.
  • Proficiency in developing structured and impactful executive presentations.
  • Process Improvement: Strong process improvement and organizational skills to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in executing strategic initiatives.
  • Continu al knowledge of evolving technology landscape, both internal and external, to help shape solutions to have technical longevity .
  • In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies and their application to business opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of business operations, objectives , and strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile methodology , and ability to mobilize multiple agile delivery teams across multiple domains towards a single mission.
  • Strong knowledge of technology and industry trends. Able to lead technical decisions and problem-solving using expertise .
  • Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills demonstrated through effective interactions with cross-functional stakeholders.
