The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
Under general direction, performs moderate to high complexity analysis to evaluate the performance of and identify trends and issues in assigned states or product line. Supports the Global Cyber Product Manager in respect to product development, product maintenance, underwriting controls and cyber training and education. Support will be directed to both the Cyber class, including Technology E&O, and across other general lines where Cyber risk must be managed. Provides consultation on product specific capability enhancement decisions, and helps drive Cyber product development and continuous improvement or the Cyber line across Global Risk Solutions. Requires the development of relationships across dependent functional areas to ensure Cyber products are fit for purpose and to drive efforts to ensure all products within the Cyber class remain competitive in the global market. Will need to be able to develop and deliver appropriate training for employees rated to Cyber as a hazard in general lines of business or for the Cyber class. May engage with brokers and clients to ensure the products are suitable, and to explore areas for Cyber product innovation.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Cyber Global Product Manager in collating, synthesizing, and maintaining best practice regarding the underwriting of the Cyber hazard within all classes of business across insurance and reinsurance.
- Ensure Global Risk Solutions communicates its cyber underwriting strategy, approach, and controls effectively.
- Support the maintenance, update, and communication of institutional Cyber knowledge throughout the business.
- Provides recommendations to training and processes to manager.
- Provides complex analysis to help drive and support the development of new cyber products, build internal stakeholder alignment, and address broker needs.
- Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and underwriting heads of Cyber to ensure that our product and wordings are fit for purpose and properly priced.
- Develop formal guidelines and standards in support of the Cyber Global Product Manager to build a common approach for Cyber underwriting and risk services.
- Support the Cyber Global Product Manager in developing and improving Cyber insurance products, artifacts, and processes.
- Create working efficiencies across the underwriting function.
- Assists in ensuring regulatory compliance of wordings, including assisting with regulatory filing.
- Identify opportunities and threats in the market and create strategies to help the company overcome them.
- Cyber and Tech E&O, Underwriting or claims experience preferred.
- Comfortable with Cyber policy language and presenting, training, and engaging stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field. Minimum 3 years, typically 4 years or more of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software.
- Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
