The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
- Develops maintainable/scalable, effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards.
- Ensure our code delivery adhere to the technical roadmap and vision for the train.
- Lead the development of component design and system/application architecture.
- Conduct impact analysis across our team and eco-system.
- Develop production support documentation.
- Interact with customers and development team to gather and define requirements.

Work within project team on iterative development that delivers a high-quality product.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Sr Software Engineer-related occupation.
Position requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
- Agile/Scrum methodologies and SAFE framework.
- Driving adoption of Excellent Engineering practices.
- Adopting Shift Left Testing practices.
- Implementing an Eventing Architecture.
- Migrating applications to the cloud.
- Future proofing systems to be scalable, maintainable, and defect free.
- Identifying and communicating risks to business partners.
- Communicating technical terms in a format for business consumption.
- Implementing observability tools to improve availability of systems.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and tools including each of the following: Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular, React, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, MySQL, REST APIs, Microservices, AWS, Linux, Docker, Git, and Jenkins.
- Understanding of agile software development concepts and processes.
- Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
