Pay Philosophy
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

As t he Senior Director, Talent Attraction & Onboarding you will be a part of the People, Purpose & Brand ( PP&B ) Talent Pipeline organization, a team that partners with business and function leaders to define skill needs for today and tomorrow and co-create offerings in service of selecting and developing our talent and evolving our diverse, global workforce to grow and contribute to our shared purpose and enterprise goals.

This leader will be responsible for finding the best talent and setting them up for a fast and meaningful start and driving cross-cutting Talent Pipeline programs. You will also provide global thought leadership in the areas of sourcing strategy, hiring leader and candidate experience , and onboarding , including leading a team of talent professionals who design and implement solutions that can be scaled across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop sourcing strategies in collaboration with business leaders, talent partners, and other key stakeholders to connect talent pipeline needs to the right talent sources (individuals, schools, platforms, companies) using tailored marketing and engagement methodologies.
  • Design and manage the end-to-end talent attraction strategy with a focus on continuous improvement of hiring leader and candidate experience and quality of hire while advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
  • Align selection practices with broader talent pipeline priorities, such as promotion, succession, and internal mobility linked to a common assessment methodology .
  • Enhance and maintain the onboarding experience for new hires and those new to role to speed time to proficiency and increase retention.
  • Ensure effective automation and system integration across the talent attraction and onboarding journey.

  • Data and D igital F luency : Ability to us e metrics to shape sourcing strategy and applying AI to Talent Attraction, knowledge or recruiting platforms
  • Trusted P artner : Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior and executive levels, with a proven ability to manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to influence positive outcomes as normally acquired through previous leadership experience.
  • Strong T hought L eadership : As demonstrated through writing, presentations and/or participation in professional organizations with the ability to own and manag e multiple projects simultaneously .
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant and progressively more responsible work experience in areas of management and leadership development.
  • Adept at strategic thinking / thought leadership, inclusive people leadership, problem solving and critical thinking, business acumen (ability to translate work into job and/or skill requirements), consulting (listening and influencing) , p roject management , t op-down, executive-level communication (clearly articulate and defend his/her point of view both orally and in writing) , t eamwork, partnership, and collaboration , r elationship-building (internal and external network) , c hange agility (adapting to changing priorities, drive and resilience) , o wnership of the work and managing multiple projects simultaneously and d ecision making in complex governance structures .
  • Recruiting, strategic sourcing (e.g., use of outsourcing, contingent labor, M&A, job boards, executive search), design thinking and/or customer experience mapping expertise or experience, strong knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and their application in the talent acquisition process, data and digital fluency, e.g., using metrics to shape sourcing strategy and applying AI to Talent Attraction, knowledge or recruiting platforms .
