Pay Philosophy
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

As t he Senior Director, Leadership Development you will be a part of the People, Purpose & Brand ( PP&B ) Talent Pipeline organization, a team that partners with business and function leaders to define skill needs for today and tomorrow and co-create offerings in service of selecting and developing our talent and evolving our diverse, global workforce to grow and contribute to our shared purpose and enterprise goals.

This leader will defin e and lead strategies for building and growing high-performing, equitable and inclusive leaders. You will also provide global thought leadership in the areas of leadership, people leader development, career and professional development with the key opportunity to design and maintain customer focused services and products that will touch every level of our company, including leading a team of learning professionals who design and implement innovative learning programs .

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to develop high-performance leaders and people leaders across all levels.
  • Define the leadership skills, capabilities, and behaviors needed to effectively fulfill their roles and adapt to the evolving needs of the business as a global company, looking out to 2030.
  • Oversee the creation of a portfolio of customer-centered learning and development solutions in leadership, management development, team effectiveness, culture, career, and professional development, using internal and external resources to ensure excellence and impact.
  • Ensure the delivery and measurement of leading-edge programs and learning experiences that can be scaled across the enterprise.
  • Ensure a connected Learning experience by leading and developing a team of professionals, emphasizing prioritization, capacity planning, continuous improvement and alignment with the Enterprise Learning Strategy.
Core Competencies:
  • Learning Acumen: Experience in adult learning, global leadership and executive development, data analysis with strong knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and their application in the performance and growth processes is highly preferred.
  • Trusted P artner : D emonstrated ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior and executive levels, with a proven ability to manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to influence positive outcomes as normally a cquired through p revious leadership experience.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret global leadership development trends, research, and data for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Thought L eadership : A s demonstrated through writing, presentations and/or participation in professional organizations with the ability to own and manag e multiple projects simultaneously .
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant and progressively more responsible work experience in areas of management and leadership development.
  • Adept at strategic thinking, problem solving, consulting (listening and influencing), teamwork, partnership, inclusive people leadership, change agility, and collaboration .
  • Excellent project management, facilitation, executive-level communication (clearly articulate and defend his/her point of view both orally and in writing), decision making in complex governance structures, and public speaking skills .
  • Adult learning, leadership and executive development, data an alysis, strong knowledge of DEI and their application in the performance and growth process.
