The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

The Executive Compensation Programs team is looking for a Senior Compensation Specialist to support the development, implementation and administration of Liberty Mutual's compensation programs.
This role is responsible for effectively managing a range of executive comp plans and programs, ensuring timely and accurate execution of all administrative deliverables. This includes being team lead for any vendor supported work, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer and establishment of new processes, and driving process efficiencies while maintaining high quality level of service. This role will deliver on complex initiatives and support various bodies of work from a highly analytical perspective, collaborating across the Global Compensation teams and other partner groups on requests of varying complexity.
Responsibilities
- Leads administration of various executive plans and programs.
- Acts as team lead for all vendor supported work, including transition and knowledge transfer, establishment of new processes, oversight and success measures, and escalation management.
- Independently conducts complex analyses to support variety of ad-hoc requests including M&A, finance and tax needs.
- Serves as project manager, team member or advisor on small to moderate-sized compensation projects by gathering, organizing and analyzing data as well as presenting findings and recommendations.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to redefine and streamline processes, partners with key stakeholders to develop and implement changes and recommend best practices. Documents new procedures and workflows accordingly. Collaborates with colleagues to conduct root cause analysis, create recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor`s degree (preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration) or equivalent experience required, in addition to 5-7 years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience in compensation or other quantitative business field
- Strong analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts; strong presentation and project management skills
- Demonstrates strong business, analytical, and financial acumen, with ability to learn complex concepts quickly.
- Ability to work well in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. Strong attention to detail and deadlines, effective at managing multiple priorities and addressing competing viewpoints.
- Displays strong PC skills, to include Excel and PowerPoint
