US Retail Markets (USRM) Direct Distribution Analytics within Liberty Mutual's Insights & Solutions group is seeking a highly motivated analyst to join the team with a focus on supporting the Direct Optimization portfolio - a collaborative, innovative, and high energy environment that focuses on enhancing the processes through which consumers purchase individual policies through either the digital platform or the Direct Response Center (DRC). This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain subject matter expertise of the direct data landscape and tools and drive strategy for Direct Distribution. The ideal candidate possesses advanced analytical abilities, critical-thinking skills, and will be able to work collaboratively & independently on high impact projects focused on our path towards profitable growth for the direct channel.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize a variety of web analytics tools and data sources to lead multivariate analysis and A/B testing focused on enhancing the digital sales funnel experience through customer segmentation
  • Lead work streams both independently and cross-functionally, providing stakeholders and Agile Product teams with recommendations for future enhancements and answering complex questions by synthesizing data from various sources
  • Analyze variance in key online performance metrics versus plan and size and prioritize new opportunities for implementation
  • Experience querying, curating, and manipulating large datasets from multiple platforms to deliver insights to critical business questions
  • Ability to effectively balance various tasks simultaneously, communicate proactively with stakeholders, and adapt to shifting or competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills with experience preparing and delivering presentations for a wide range of audiences, including influencing senior leadership on key priorities and business decisions
  • Web analytics experience is a plus (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics); a strong interest in Direct Distribution is necessary
  • Collaborate with front line leaders, Operational Analytics, agile squads, and Operational Enablement to identify opportunities, ideate and prioritize solutions and inform implementation
  • Ability to tie quantitative and qualitative insights together to inform appropriate prioritization of work while supporting our front-line sales agents
  • Balance profitability and growth in executing on our Segmentation and Direct Monetization goals
  • Think critically and holistically to drive a cohesive strategy across the entire Direct ecosystem
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 3 years, typically 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required.
  • Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, SQL).
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills. Solid understanding of business to improve business outcomes.
