The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Claims & Service, Insights & Solutions
The Claims & Service, Insights & Solutions team at Liberty Mutual provides valuable insights that enhance our claims processes and elevate our customer service. This team of creative problem solvers uses data to drive meaningful change and inform decisions that improve operations and the customer experience. The Claims & Service Insights & Solutions team provides critical insight across four key areas of expertise:
- Advanced analytics
- Process improvement
- Workforce forecasting and management
- Operations and enablement
In addition to the responsibilities below, this person will:
- Support the Medical, Special Investigation, and Programs Claims organization and provide thought leadership in recommendations and decision making with the aligned Senior Director of Claims Analytics.
- With limited guidance, perform analysis that tells a compelling/structured story and produces logical conclusions, actionable insights, outcome valuations, risk assessments, strategic impact and positively impacts business results.
- Proactively make recommendations and suggestions to optimize portfolio of existing processes and reports, including identifying and remedying non value add activities and driving transparency across appropriate stakeholders.
- Conducts medium complexity analysis for Medical, Special Investigation, and Programs (MSP) organization, with a focus with Special Investigation (Fraud).
- Manages low to moderately complex projects, while providing technical and analytical assessments of issues facing the business.
- Utilizes more advanced statistical techniques to solve business problems.
- May regularly utilize, update and adapt predictive modeling tools and/or focus on the application of the tools.
- May develop analytic tools used by others to do their jobs more effectively and guide decision-making.
- Answers complex questions by synthesizing data from diverse sources.
- Manages one or more research projects.
- Presents findings / recommendations which impact profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction.
- May participate in discussions with senior leadership at the department or functional level.
- Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 3 years, typically 4 or more years of experience, or equivalent, is required. Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
- Advanced knowledge of data sources, tools, statistical principles and methodologies, and techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, macros, scripts, formulas, data visualization, etc.), PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (SAS, SQL).
- Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of business to improve business outcomes.
