You will put your investigative and analytic skills to work; communicating with policyholders, witnesses, legal and medical professionals, and others to gather the critical information necessary for the prompt, fair and equitable resolution of many different types of claims.
Liberty Mutual Insurance is currently hiring for a Recovery Resolution Specialist position in our Auto Property Damage subrogation team. In this role you will analyze and negotiate the damages and liability on incoming Auto Physical Damage subrogation claims while providing top-tier customer service to both our internal and external customers.
Our goal is to identify and employ confident, self-starting, highly motivated individuals who display high-energy, intelligence and the natural curiosity we believe fundamental to our investigative process; helping us achieve our departmental financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with other teams at Liberty Mutual and with our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong knowledge base of legal liability, state statutes, and auto physical damage guidelines.
- Analyze auto damage appraisals for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Negotiate comparative liability as appropriate per jurisdictional guidelines.
- Communicate with branch office case owners, policyholders, witnesses, and involved parties, etc. in order to gather information regarding the loss.
- Post Resolution Strategy and other details in electronic file outlining the course of action to bring the claim to resolution with target dates. Ensure claim file has all documents to support resolution efforts. Manage a timely diary and follow up system on case assignments.
- Compile data from multiple systems, including States requiring increasingly complex processes and requirements.
- Provide top-tier customer service to our customers
- Contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive team environment
- Assist with Root Cause Problem Solving and other special initiatives within the department
- Issue claim payments as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of insurance principles including coverages and terminology
- Ability to plan/organize work, communicate well, identify/solve problems, gain support, maintain phone conversations with customers as normally acquired through a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least six months to one-year related experience desired
- Bachelor`s degree preferred, not required
