Job Introduction:

The Global Finance Technology organization is looking to hire 2 Principal SAP PaPM Configuration Engineers within the OneGL program.

Under limited supervision, these individuals will be responsible to analyze, develop, and configure new use cases utilizing SAP PaPM. These candidates will support production users and configure / test /train to support maintenance and enhancement of the OneGL finance environment supporting the financial month-end close process.

Seen as a technical expert within the team, these candidates will analyze complex technical problems and develop, communicate, and implement solutions while mentoring junior team members.

About the job:
  • Identifies business requirements, functional and system specifications that meet business requirements, maps them to systems capabilities and recommends technical solutions utilizing SAP PaPM.
  • Configures SAP PaPM system settings and options, plans, executes unit, integration, and acceptance testing, and creates functional and technical specifications.
  • Develops and implements solutions and sophisticated models to support complex financial calculations/allocations and reporting.
  • Assesses current business processes, system practices and recommends new improved ones.
  • Designs and implements end-to-end solutions that align with best practices and meet critical objectives.
  • Performs troubleshooting, solves complex defect issues and collaborates with subject matter experts.
  • Identifies proactively opportunities for optimization and efficiency and system performance.
  • Identifies test scenarios and cases with product owners, executes test cases, documents test results, test scripts and provides quality assurance results to the business.
  • Supports pieces of the implementation process such as project planning, post implementation support, cutover plans, documentation, and transition planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8+ years of Techno- Functional SAP Finance experience.
  • Minimum 2-3+ years of proven experience as an SAP PaPM Systems Analyst, developer or consultant with successful implementations and system evolution including configuration and customization capabilities.
  • Experience in SAP BW, SAP BPC, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP HANA SQL, OData Services, and other Cloud applications.
  • Strong Knowledge and experience in Data modelling and ETL (concepts).
  • Solid understanding of financial transactional flow, SAP general ledger concepts such as company Codes, chart of Accounts, ledger, coding blocks, profit centers, cost centers, ledgers, currencies, etc.
  • Strong understanding of finance business processes and ability to map business requirements to standard SAP processes with minimal or no customization.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders with a proven track record of collaboration across multiple organizations, business partners and stakeholders.
  • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to work with ambiguous and incomplete information.
  • Effective understanding of agile software development concepts and processes including backlog tracking, prioritization, strong collaboration within a scrum team and adaptability through incremental delivery.
  • Must be proactive, demonstrate initiative and be a logical thinker, have extensive consultative skills, including the ability to understand and apply customer requirements, including drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, understanding potential impacts of design requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • SAP training in Profitability and Performance Management.
  • Experience within the Insurance or Finance industry
  • Experience with Financial Product Subledger (FPSL), FI/CO and reporting modules (Analysis for Office, Web Intelligence, SAP Analytics Cloud).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 Embedded analytics specifically with Core Data Services (CDS) views development techniques.
