This role has a hybrid work schedule (2 days onsite) and we are considering candidates based in Portsmouth, NH, Boston, MA, Plano, TX, Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH.

The hiring manager is open to consider candidates at Principal or Senior level depending upon their experience and skill level.

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Intelligent Automation Engineer - RPA to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing intelligent automation solutions that enhance operational excellence across the organization.

The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, analyze business requirements, and create sophisticated automation frameworks utilizing advanced technologies such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation), machine learning, workflow discovery, and artificial intelligence. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing workflows, reducing manual effort, and improving overall productivity.

You will be at the forefront of digital transformation initiatives, employing a strategic mindset to innovate and enhance automation capabilities. About the job:
  • Design, code and test automation workflows using UiPath and Power Platform.
  • Develop workflows and custom activities using VB.NET/C#.
  • Proven experience with API integrations, web services (REST/SOAP), and AI Solutions to connect and enhance systems.
  • Ability to design and implement integration solutions using API gateways, message brokers, and ESB (Enterprise Service Bus).
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing scalable application architectures (e.g., microservices, monolithic, serverless), with a strong understanding of SOA and microservices principles.
  • Understanding of application security principles, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Strong ability to identify process improvement opportunities, optimize workflows using automation, and leverage Discovery Tools like Process Mining and Task Mining.
  • Experience conducting cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the feasibility of automation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage automation projects from discovery through implementation and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies, such as Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience leading architecture discussions and making architectural decisions in a team setting.
  • Provide solution designs to customers throughout the deployment of new initiatives, during POCs (Proof of Concept) and project implementation phases.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including business users, IT teams, and management.
  • Continuous learner with a passion for staying updated on the latest trends and technologies in automation and process improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology or related field required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of overall software development experience and the ability to assess business needs and translate them to innovative automation solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with software programming.
  • Minimum 3+ years of RPA implementation/ release management experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience designing, developing, and business process automation.
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation and consensus-building capabilities.
  • Openness and adaptability to respond to fast-moving circumstances.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for working in teams.
