The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Liberty Mutual Distribution Technology is looking for a Portfolio Scrum Master to join our Insurance Professional Sales Experience portfolio. In this role you will play a critical role in enabling teams that build solutions which empower our internal & external insurance professionals to deliver value through sales experiences that delight users and provide accurate & efficient quotes, ultimately allowing us to continue to Win Together with Purpose.

The Portfolio Scrum Master is a member of the delivery leadership team for the portfolio guiding the coordination, synchronization, and support of a "team of teams" that is necessary to deliver upon our priorities and initiatives. Additionally, the Portfolio Scrum Master advises portfolio leadership on value stream efficiency and effectiveness ensuring alignment to strategic goals. The Insurance Professional Sales Experience portfolio is currently involved in multiple high-profile, transformative initiatives and is looking for someone who is prepared to collaborate, influence, and possesses a robust communication and planning skillset.
About the Job:
- Work with team leadership to identify risks and mitigate dependencies, risks, blockers, and impediments that may affect the "team of teams" progress and ability to deliver value
- Aggregate product team objectives and progress to ensure visibility and transparency
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among teams and stakeholders at portfolio level events to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities
- Use assessment models and indicators to gauge the health and effectiveness of the team of teams
- Drive the usage of data and metrics to measure and optimize the effectiveness of both product delivery and engineering excellence
- Guides continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery and effectiveness of the team of teams
- Provides coaching and consulting to Portfolio and Product Team leaders on good practices to accelerate maturity and remove organizational barriers to agility
Minimum Qualifications:
- Displays strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
- Advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline and at least eight, typically ten or more years related experience as a project team member, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies and objectives, and Agile Methodology.
- Program or Portfolio Management
- Prior experience as a Release Train Engineer and/or Scaled Agile
- Experience working in or around enterprise agent portals, sales experiences, and/or Insurance Industry
