Pay Philosophy
The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description
Responsible for contract review and negotiation to achieve business objectives while ensuring organizational needs are met within the boundaries established by company policies and procedures. Review contracts to verify that proposed terms meet requirements, identify non-compliance with company contractual standards, and provide appropriate risk mitigation and risk transfer solutions as appropriate. May be responsible for the pre-proposal strategy, proposal development, negotiation, and start-up phases of customer and vendor relationships. Provides creative leadership from knowledge of industry best practices and most current developments in contract administration. Duties will also include organizing, maintaining, and tracking contracts.

The ideal candidate for this Contract Manager position will have strong procurement and commercial contracting experience, particularly within the Telecommunications sector or the Technology sector.
  • Telecommunications : The candidate should have a deep understanding of telecommunications industry. This includes experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts related to wireless, wired line, network and telecom hardware, software, and services.
  • Technology : The candidate should have a deep understanding of the technology industry. This includes experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts related to SaaS, software, infrastructure, and service level agreements.
Responsibilities
  • Reviews and provides risk management consultation on customer and vendor contracts submitted.
  • Serves as the point of contact for internal and external customers on contractual matters by acting as contractual mediator between company employees, customers, and vendors
  • Ensures timely review and approval or reconciliation of variations.
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of all other terms and conditions
  • Researches, recommends, and creates contract policies, procedures, and contractual documents
  • Coordinates with Company's legal counsel, negotiating with vendors and customers. Ensures that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness
  • May assist in the development and maintenance of a contract database and recommends improvements to contract templates.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Management or related field or equivalent related work experience
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in legal and/or contracts, contract database experience is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills including excellent phone etiquette and a demonstrated ability to communicate professionally in both verbal and written forms
