The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
The Bilingual Accounting Manager- Expense Management is accountable for performance management of the cost center structure and expense allocation model between legal entities and lines of business, implementation and application of the expense allocation methodology within the general ledger, and ongoing reassessment of the allocation methodology with transformational changes in the company.

The Bilingual Accounting Manager- Expense Management will be a key contributor to the budgeting and forecasting of expenses in line with anticipated growth, as well as the monthly and quarterly assessment of expense results for the Regional Group Function.
This position will be involved in building out Expense Accounting internal control environment to the highest standard. This position is visible across the organization and partners closely with the Regional Leadership team.
Job Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Postgraduate studies in Accounting/Finance or CPA active license is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting, including 5 years in expense management and allocation experience within an insurance company.
- Experience with Global Accounting systems and SAP preferred.
- Bilingual (English - Spanish) with a high degree of fluency is required.
- Experience leading complex projects of process improvements.
- US GAAP (or IFRS) experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and project management skills are essential.
- Advanced MS Excel, Financial Applications (Finance BI).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent accounting experience, CPA preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
- Extensive experience dealing with statutory authorities and expertise on statutory matters and compliance requirements.
- Ability to assess and communicate financial implications of business plans and actions.
- Ability to display profit orientation and business results focus. Demonstrates business partnering ability and focus on business results.
- Ability to communicate in non-technical terms and present analysis in an understandable and concise manner.
- Knowledge of reinsurance concepts and related accounting.
