Description and Requirements

The position will give support to the tax matters of 6 Mexican entities, reporting to the Tax Manager of Mexico, and interacting mainly and daily in a remote way with external tax advisors and the rest of the departments of the companies in Mexico and/or LAS.

It is needed interpersonal skills that allow solving complex situations with multiple interlocutors and activities.

Main tasks:

a) Support in preparation and/or reviewing of indirect and direct tax returns prepared by the external advisors, interacting continuously with them

b) Help in the process of recovery VAT.

c) Support in tax researchs, tax consultancy, account reconciliation, tax audits.

d) Contacts and communication at the peer group level across other functions, may interact with tax authorities when responding to requests.

e) Provide information and support to Tax Manager to manage tax queries and request for information from tax authorities. Take part in discussions with Tax Advisors on new rules and regulations (or interpretations).

f) Assist the Tax Manager to complete the Local and Tax Reporting Package to Group, which calculates Income and Deferred Tax. Quarterly reconciliation of Tax accounts VAT, Excise Tax , IT and WHT VAT and IT.

g) Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.

Requirements:

  • CPA with at least 1 or 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Very good command of the English language and Microsoft softwares (Excel, Word, Outlook, Windows, etc).
  • Interpersonal skills: proactivity, good interpersonal treatment, commitment to results, autonomy, predisposition to work under pressure and quickly.
  • Plus SAP
  • It will be valued: experience in multi-company or accounting studies specialized in taxes
