Description and Requirements
Position Description
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (ODM Partner) to oversee and manage all quality-related activities for ODM products during the Mass Production (MP) stage. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality standards, resolving quality issues, and driving continuous improvement in collaboration with ODM and EMS partners. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and an ability to implement quality processes that align with global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Post-SLE Quality Management:
- Handle all quality-related issues for ODM products after the System-Level Events (SLE) phase.
- Lead and drive the resolution of MP quality issues to ensure quick and effective closure.
- Manufacturing Quality Guidance:
- Define and maintain manufacturing quality standards for ODM products.
- Establish quality improvement plans to mitigate recurring issues and ensure compliance with quality benchmarks.
- Global Production Support:
- Support the transition of new production lines overseas and ensure smooth ramp-up to MP.
- Set up and regularly review KPIs to drive continuous quality improvements across global EMS partners.
- KD Material and Sub-assembly Quality Management:
- Manage the quality of Knock-Down (KD) materials and sub-assembly components.
- Lead investigations and resolve KD material quality issues with overseas EMS sites, providing final judgment on RMA responsibilities.
- Audits and Evaluations:
- Conduct systematic and regular audits of ODMs and EMS partners to evaluate compliance with quality standards.
- Drive improvement plans based on audit findings to ensure performance aligns with organizational requirements.
- On-going Reliability Test (ORT) Management:
- Oversee ORT processes and ensure ODM partners effectively address identified issues.
- Drive rapid implementation of corrective actions to maintain product reliability.
- Performance Reviews:
- Conduct regular Manufacturing Quality Reviews (MQR) and Quarterly Quality Reviews (QQR) with ODM partners.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on performance metrics and feedback.
- Global Process Standardization:
- Synchronize and standardize global quality processes and procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency across all regions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management with a focus on Mass Production stages for ODM or EMS environments.
- Proven track record of resolving complex quality issues and driving improvements.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and tools (e.g., 8D, SPC, FMEA).
- Familiarity with KD material management, sub-assembly quality control, and ORT processes.
