Description and Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage SSD development and resolve defects during server project development.
  • Component level validation with ability of writing test tool/script.
  • Interact with vendors, build SSD roadmap, understand associated technologies; Introduce SSD roadmap and technologies internally to broader Dev. team, Product Marketing team, and externally to customers.
  • Create SSD performance analysis process, plan and create analysis report.

Skills required

  • Familiar with NAND flash and storage interface protocols.
  • Familiar with basic NVMe/PCIe specification and firmware structure.
  • Proficient in debugging with necessary tools.
  • Schedule management.
  • Understand working principles of SSD controller, power management component and FW.
  • Linux driver programming experience is a plus.
  • Understand Cloud Service Provider data center environment is a plus.
  • Understand how to measure performance based on customer workload is a plus.

Education and Experience

  • Must have 8 years or more work experience in server industry, and at least 5 years of SSD development experiences.
  • Undergraduate BSEE or BSCE degree required.
  • A master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering is a plus.
  • Experience of working for Cloud Service Provider customer is a plus.

Teaming and Communications

  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation in Chinese and English.
  • Willing to share knowledge with team members.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-culturally across teams in the US and Asia.
