Description and Requirements
At Lenovo we strive to put more innovation in the hands of more people so they can do more amazing things. We are seeking enthusiastic, career-minded professionals to lead our Canadian Field Sales Team selling our Infrastructure Solutions Group portfolio (formerly Data Center Group).
The Sr. Sales Manager position will be responsible for leading a team of seasoned sales professionals in uncovering opportunities, selling the benefits of the full catalogue of Lenovo products and selling against the competition. This is a quota carrying position focused on business growth of our Edge to the Cloud portfolio including products, services, software for Corporate, Public Sector and Acquisition field covered accounts across the country.
Responsibilities include.
- Develop and cultivate client relationships as well as achieving profit and revenue objectives.
- Be a leader in building and developing processes driving client satisfaction, operational efficiency, new account development, repeat sales, product upgrades, problem resolution, sales campaign programs, and business controls to maximize results.
- Ensure that products, services, and solutions recommended to clients will fulfill their needs Manage a team of account executives across Canada while setting the direction for the inside and specialists for this growth business.
- Acquisition (new logos) and existing customer opportunities
- Manage all aspects of complex sales and drive to close.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated team building and leadership experience.
- Leverage existing experiences and customer relationships to grow market share.
- Ownership of cadence, pipeline, and business management for this key segment.
Key Candidate Skills of Interest:
- Looking for an individual with extensive Channel Experience and strong customer/ partner engagement Skills
- An individual that possesses Enterprise, Public Sector and Large customer Acquisition sales leadership expertise & experience Seeking an individual that is capable of building out and leading the charge.
- Uncovering and closing net new opportunities by driving outbound sales via directed sales campaigns
- Strategic leadership providing vision and rep level guidance that is not product focused, but industry focused (i.e. Edge, Analytics/AI, Cloud, etc. to support industry needs)
- Master of Account/Territory Ownership, True E2E deal management, sound pipeline/ forecasting management skills
Basic Requirements
- BS or BA degree; or equivalent experience
- 5+ years previous sales team leadership and/or management required
- 3+ years of Server/Storage Sales knowledge is required
- Must have worked in a quota-carrying sales environment for 5+ years
- Ability to travel (Canada Primarily) in the field with inside and field sellers as needed
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous field (outside) sales experience.
- Experience with hiring and working with talent acquisition to identify top talent
- Excellent communication, collaboration skills, and ability to influence others.
- Demonstrated experience in showing quarter over quarter growth in sales revenue with large accounts
- Face-to-Face customer engagement experience
