Description and Requirements

As the Sr Manager , Distribution Sales Manager at Lenovo, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by leading the distribution strategy and managing key relationships with Tier 1 distributors. In this role, you will also scale volume partners as part of the Tier 2 Distribution Strategy and grow selected incubation partners. With responsibilities spanning Lenovo's complete portfolio-PC and Datacentre-you will leverage your deep understanding of the PC market and foundational knowledge of infrastructure technology. Additionally, you will manage and develop a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with Lenovo's strategic initiatives and overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Distribution Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive distribution strategy that aligns with Lenovo's business objectives. Ensure seamless collaboration with Tier 1 distributors to optimize product availability and market reach.
  • Channel Partner Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with select volume and incubation partners. Identify growth opportunities, develop joint business plans, and drive revenue growth through these channels.
  • Market Analysis and Insights: Monitor and analyze PC market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Provide actionable insights to the sales and marketing teams to refine strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Infrastructure Technology Knowledge: Leverage your understanding of infrastructure technology to influence product positioning, guide partners in solution selling, and ensure Lenovo's offerings meet the evolving needs of the market.
  • Sales Enablement: Work closely with internal teams to develop and deliver training, sales tools, and resources that empower our partners to effectively promote and sell Lenovo products.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs and regularly track performance across distribution channels. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve channel performance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment between distribution strategies and overall business goals.
  • People Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of distribution specialists. Foster a culture of high performance and accountability, ensuring team members are aligned with company objectives and possess the necessary skills to succeed. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to support their growth.
  • Operational Efficiency: Work with internal stakeholders to improve operational efficiency within the distribution network, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of Lenovo products across all channels.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in channel sales, distribution management, or related roles within the PC or technology industry.
  • Proven experience working with Tier 1 distributors, retail business partners, and telecom operators.
  • Strong understanding of the PC market, including key trends and competitive dynamics.
  • Solid knowledge of infrastructure technology and its role in supporting business operations.
  • Leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of driving revenue growth through effective channel management.
