POSITION OVERVIEW
Motorola Mobility is looking for a Sr. Global Strategy Consultant, who will be responsible for driving the highest impact/most strategic initiatives and defining the future of Motorola. As the global leader you will help shape the business strategy for Motorola with the highest exposure to the Motorola leadership team.
You will not only be responsible for shaping the strategic direction for Motorola, but also will take leadership in driving and facilitating the execution and working with key leaders across the organization - from spearheading key strategic programs, identifying new areas of growth, developing business cases and driving decisions with the Motorola Senior Leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and will be comfortable presenting analyses to executives and obtaining alignment with the senior-most leaders at Motorola & across Lenovo group. The candidate will also have a keen business acumen, be comfortable leading initiatives involving multiple functions, and a genuine interest to provide meaningful analyses, using tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.
We are looking for a proactive professional who is driven and motivated to work in a very dynamic team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development of Motorola's global business strategy, strategic initiatives and long-term plans
- Partner with Motorola's senior executive leadership to drive the yearly strategic planning process and periodic business reviews
- Run market and financial analyses to develop new areas of investment and growth
- Track and manage key strategic initiatives to bring them to closure, including facilitating ongoing meetings with leadership and key stakeholders
- Manage the execution of complex projects by quickly understanding context and developing a prioritized approach for resolution
- Use analytical frameworks to support leadership in decision making
- Create executive-level presentations to support strategic recommendations
- Build business cases for new initiatives / investment opportunities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors' degree (business or engineering fields preferred)
- 8+ years work experience with several years of work experience in strategy or business related role
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to simplify and clearly articulate complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA degree
- Detail oriented with ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of information to draw conclusions
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to define and frame business problems in a logical and structured manner
- Works well in a very dynamic/fast-paced environment
- Motivated self-starter that is comfortable working independently
- Highly proficient with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Previous consulting experience or equivalent
