Description and Requirements

The marketing manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to spearhead corporate sponsorships that align with our organizational goals and initiatives. They will assist in activating Lenovo NA's strategic marketing partnerships. We are looking for someone who is a forward-thinking, detail-oriented, and effective communicator. They will assist in maintaining Lenovo's relationships with external partners and navigate our matrixed organization. Leveraging your experience in sponsorship strategy and relationship management, you will manage, activate and drive growth across our organization leveraging our existing and future sponsorship portfolio.

Position Description

The NA Marketing Manager (MM) will report directly to the Sr. Sponsorships Manager for the North America region. The MM will:

  • Execute a comprehensive corporate sponsorship strategy to meet revenue targets and enhance brand visibility.
  • Oversee the activation and fulfillment of Lenovo's sponsorship commitments, working with internal stakeholders to ensure that Lenovo receives maximum value and exposure.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective corporate sponsors, serving as the primary point of contact for high-profile sponsorship-related inquiries and negotiations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and events, to create and execute customized sponsorship packages that meet the needs of both sponsors and the organization.
  • Negotiate sponsorship agreements, ensuring that terms and deliverables are clearly defined and mutually beneficial.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in corporate sponsorships to continuously optimize our sponsorship strategy and offerings.
  • Track and analyze sponsorship performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the sponsorship team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate sponsorships, partnership sales, or related roles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or another related field required
  • Natural project manager, organized, detail-oriented and able to meet strict deadlines with third party agency partners
  • Timely, effective and professional communication. High level of communication, both verbal and written
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, strong flexibility to respond to changing priorities and needs
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously acquire new competencies and accept new challenges
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop creative and innovative sponsorship solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • The ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment
  • Strong network of contacts within the corporate sponsorship community.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
