Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design AI/HPC cluster topology and focus on high performance storage
  • Design and develop test software solutions for GPU cluster architecture and performance validation.
  • Manage and maintain code bases, ensuring high-quality standards and efficient version control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work on OS, network, and hardware components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software, OS, network, and hardware issues.
  • Clearly document designs, processes, and protocols.
  • Present information to internal cross-functional teams and customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering fields, or a related field and 8 years of relevant experience in storage system design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Erasure Coding, RAID, fault tolerant/HA storage architectures
  • Demonstrated expertise in deploying and managing object storage software (Ceph, MinIO, or similar)
  • Demonstrated expertise in any/all of: WekaFS, Lustre, ZFS, XFS, LVM, MegaRAID, mdadm
  • Demonstrated expertise with heterogenous storage hardware/arrays (e.g., DDN, Weka)
  • Proficiency with VMware or other leading virtualization platforms
  • A good understanding of high performance networking (100GbE+) and network configuration and tuning for storage networks
  • Proficient with programming in python and/or bash
  • Experience with setting up IBM spectrum protect backup and archive solution and managing the IBM tape library with LTO tapes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Resourcefulness problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt them to daily operations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities with cross-functional teams.
