Description and Requirements

The Job

  • Supervise the internal IT team to provide technical support to employees, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with the Internal IT Manager to develop strategies for enhancing IT service delivery and efficiency through best practices.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment of IT services with business needs.
  • Oversee vendor management, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage and oversee all infrastructure across diverse areas, including networking, servers, backup solutions, databases, data centers, and operating systems. Ensure all components function cohesively to support organizational needs and enhance overall IT performance.
  • Manage end-user computing (EUC) inventory and asset management processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Coordinate with vendors to manage AV equipment in meeting rooms and video conferencing setups for seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Lead internal IT projects with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for IT processes and procedures, especially regarding asset management and EUC.
  • Assist in daily IT operations to support business activities.
  • Train and mentor junior IT staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to recommend improvements and innovations, particularly in the context of Hong Kong, China Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in IT support or management, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong skills in managing multiple teams and vendor relationships.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure across various sectors, including network, firewall, servers, backup, databases, data centers, and operating systems.
  • Experience with end-user computing (EUC) inventory and asset management.
  • Knowledge of AV equipment and video conferencing technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams, stakeholders, and vendor relationships.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ISO, ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
