Description and Requirements
The North America HR Business Partner role will be instrumental in driving employee engagement, organizational culture, and holding critical partnerships roles across various Centers of Excellence including Legal, Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Real Estate/Facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with leadership to foster a positive work environment and ensure HR best practices are implemented throughout the business.
Country HR key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Employee Engagement & Relations: Foster a positive work culture that supports employee engagement, motivation, and well-being.
- HR Strategy & Operations: Develop and execute geography specific HR strategies / policies in support of business objectives and alignment with overall company vision and goals. Ensure efficient day-to-day HR operations across the country.
- Compliance & Legal: Ensure compliance with Canadian labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Talent Management: Oversee onboarding, orientation, and integration of new hires to the organization. Oversee termination process for Canadian employees while ensuring legal and statutory compliance.
- Benefits: Ensure proper administration of benefits, pension plans and time-away policies while providing support to employees on benefits-related queries
- Change Management: Support organizational changes, including restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions, by helping manage communication, process changes, and employee impact.
- Site Leadership: Work in partnership with the Canadian Site Leadership team and broader North America Real Estate and Facilities teams to ensure efficient overall operation of Canadian Headquarters
- Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to educate and align on Canada HR policy and initiatives. Communicate and collaborate with external stakeholders ranging from vendors to government and regulatory agencies.
Candidates must reside in Raleigh, NC area and be willing to work in a hybrid environment (3 days on-site).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 8+ years of HR business partner experience with 3+ years experience managing a small team of HR professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certifications (CHRP, CHRL, or similar) are preferred.
- Strong understanding of US and Canadian labor laws and statutory regulations
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance big-picture goals with day-to-day operational requirements.
- Strong leadership presence, with the ability to influence / build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness, capable of managing diverse teams.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach with a high level of initiative.
- Demonstrated success and passion to lead in transformational and fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional communication (written, verbal), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel occasionally across US and Canada as well as internationally if required.
