Job Description for SAP SD Senior Engineer

I. Basic Job Information

Job Title: SAP SD Senior Engineer
Work Location: Malaysia

II. Job Overview

Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, optimization, and integration of the SD module in the SAP ERP system, aiming to enhance the informatization level of enterprise sales management and its business competitiveness.

III. Duties and Work Contents

1. SD Module Implementation and Configuration

  • Requirements Analysis and Solution Design: Collaborate with multiple departments to investigate all aspects of the sales business. Based on this, combine the standard functions of the SD module to formulate an implementation solution that includes process optimization, configuration planning, data migration, training, and project schedule arrangements.
  • System Configuration and Customization Development: Precisely configure the core elements of the SD module. For special requirements, carry out customized development or collaborative development, such as developing customized reports, creating custom order approval processes, and integrating with external system interfaces.
  • Data Migration and System Testing: Develop a migration plan, cooperate with the data team to migrate data and ensure its quality. Set up a testing environment and conduct multiple types of tests for both regular and special sales scenarios. Solve problems to ensure the stability of the system before going live.

2. SD Module Maintenance and Optimization

  • Daily Operation and Maintenance and Fault Handling: Take on the post-launch operation and maintenance work, monitor the performance indicators of the system, and promptly respond to and handle various technical problems and faults to minimize the impact on the business.
  • System Optimization and Performance Improvement: Analyze business data and system operation status, and regularly optimize performance, such as optimizing query statements, adjusting parameters, and streamlining processes. Propose function optimization and upgrade plans in line with industry trends.

3. Business Process Optimization and Integration

  • Sales Business Process Improvement: Analyze the operation of the existing sales process in the system, identify bottlenecks, and cooperate with departments to propose and implement optimization plans, such as optimizing order approval, credit assessment, and shipping and logistics tracking processes.
  • System Integration and Data Interaction: Be responsible for the integration of the SD module with other modules to ensure data interaction and sharing. Participate in the planning of the enterprise information system architecture, provide integration suggestions and data interaction specifications to support decision-making.

4. User Training and Technical Support

  • User Training and Knowledge Transfer: Design and develop targeted training courses and teaching materials according to user needs. Use diversified training methods, focus on interactive communication, continuously improve and optimize to enhance user satisfaction and application effects.
  • Technical Support and Problem Solving: Provide professional technical support for sales and related departments, answer various technical questions, establish and maintain problem feedback channels, sort out and analyze problems, and form a knowledge base for sharing to improve the efficiency and quality of support.

5. Project Collaboration and Document Management

  • Project Team Collaboration: Closely collaborate with multi-role teams in the ERP project, participate in meeting discussions, share knowledge and experience, coordinate and solve interface and data interaction problems to ensure project progress and module integration.
  • Document Management and Knowledge Inheritance: Organize and write project documents covering various aspects such as requirements analysis, design, configuration, and testing. Establish and maintain an internal knowledge base, update and improve it to promote the improvement of the team's technical level and knowledge inheritance, and enhance the ability of independent operation and maintenance and innovation.
