Description and Requirements

Position Description:

1. PBM (Procurement Brand Manager) is a Project Manager role in MBG Procurement organization, representing procurement function in Product Core Team.

2. Work with Product Core Team members including PM, Finance, Dev Quality and NPI manufacturing etc. to deliver successful new product time to market and time to volume with competitive technology and cost

3. Project Management to deliver product with right sourcing strategy, cost, supply and complexity for standard models and direct buy, B/S models support

4. Parts source alignment and risk management along product development phase and lifecycle

5. Procurement data and dashboard system enablement and support in each checkpoints

6. Key parts complexity and multi source management and risk mitigation

Position Requirements:

1. Fluent for Japanese in speaking and writing, able to work with global team; Being good at English is a plus

2. 6+ years of electronics sourcing or commercial experience

3. Experience with mobile or consumer electronic industry and technologies

4. Basic supply chain, cost and component supplier practices

5. Early engage and understand product spec/ID to drive RFQ cycles with GCMs

6. Conduct resource evaluation based on portfolio/project change and drive proactive actions

7. Familiar with MFG global footprint, in-house/ODM sourcing model and business case alignment

8. Align PM cost target/TEC "should be" with cost team/RD/GCM and help drive gap closure

9. Own and align source plan with GCM/RD/PM/ODM/PE etc- manage single/sole source exception approvals and drive product sourcing closer with GCM prior to BC checkpoint

10. Drive/engage in strategic discussion on sourcing development to expand AVL

11. Good collaboration/communication skill with cross functions including but not limited to all related GCM/GSM/RD/PM/Cost teams - strong team player and individual contributor

12. Strong xls, ppt presentation and communication skills in English as well as Chinese

13. Accountable for product launch success and able to measure/present progress regularly

14. Result oriented, professional and be able to work independently with minimum supervision

15. Creative and innovative thinking to solve Customer issues/problems and create WIN-WIN

16. Prior work experience in a company with global team and operation a Plus

17. Bachelor+ degree in business, engineering etc
