Description and Requirements
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for Lenovo's Retail and channel marketing, as well as communications/advertising and events to further build the brand in line with the business objectives. This role ensures proactive communication in order to keep people engaged with Lenovo and how Lenovo is progressing towards its strategic goals. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Specialist will work collaboratively with Sales, Senior Leadership and Executives.
What will you do?
Retail and Channel Marketing
- Work closely with business partners, distributors in B2B and Retail Trade marketing on channel enablement and promotional content, balancing traditional marketing tactics with a data driven approach
- Develop and execute quarterly marketing tactics with our retailers and resellers in close alignment with Lenovo sales and product management
- Control retailers and resellers advertisements within Lenovo's brand visibility framework
- Ensure precise execution, proof of execution and exact reporting according to alliance financial requirements (e.g. Intel, Microsoft)
- Measure and report performance of marketing tactics, assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) - recommending actions to strengthen the objective and effectiveness
Lenovo owned events
- Manage events like kick-offs, customer exhibitions and fairs that make a difference and innovate - thus are memorable to our customers
- Reflect the strategic / corporate direction in conception and execution of events to establish a memorable event with strong business impact and lead value
- Organize the whole process from budgeting, planning, concept, running the event and post-event evaluation
Communication / Advertising
- Execute PR, advertising and Social Media programs in support of business objectives
- Build strong understanding of Lenovo's business and culture
- Prepare and execute press launch activities, press tours and media round tables
Reporting
- Manage and monitor the budget, adhering to financial guidelines, managing the corporate financial system and ensuring value for money - including yearly/quarterly budget spend tracking with attention to detail and accuracy
- Deliver quarterly/annual marketing plans to meet KPIs, aligned to strategic objectives and within budget
Who are you?
- Wealth of experience in B2B and Event Marketing in a fast moving, international IT industry. Agency background and PR is desirable.
- You are passionate for latest technology trends, e.g. Hybrid AI, data driven marketing.
- You keep a cool head, when managing multiple projects in parallel.
- You are proactive and take initiatives in self-starter mentality.
- Being Results-driven with committed and passionate execution is your trademark.
- You convince with efficient and reliable project & budget management, including excellent organization and time management skills.
- Having excellent written and verbal communication skills with accuracy and keen attention to detail, German being your first language. You are fluent in English with strong presentation skills.
